Description: 8-week speed clinic program to help improve your level of fitness - Sessions will challenge runners with an intermediate level workout, including warm up, dynamic stretching and cool down.

Core Strength for Runners More Info »

Program Start: Summer Core Date To Be Announced
Program Schedule: 6-Week
Program Fee: $90
Description: Extended to six weeks, this class concentrates on strengthening your lower back, hips, glutes and all the essential muscles of your core. A strong core encourages more efficient running form and fluid movement. The class offers brief descriptions of muscle groups, how they benefit from each movement followed by a complete core workout. 45-minute class; exercise mat is required. Class size is limited to 15 participants.

Program Start: Thursday, May 4th
Program Schedule: Thursdays, 6:30pm to 7:30pm at Brookdale Park
Program Fee: $75 includes individual video analysis
Description: This 4-week introductory Chi Running program includes running drills and exercises to learn technique and form. We will explore posture, alignment, arm position, cadence and the use of core muscles to take pressure off the legs and allow the body to run with ease and efficiency. We'll learn to run with less impact, which reduces injury and increases confidence. Join us in learning a gentle approach for powerful results. Our Chi-Running program includes individual video analysis.

Program Start: Thursday, June 8, 2017
Program Schedule: Thursdays, 6:30 - 7:30 PM @ various Essex County Trails
Program Fee: $60
Description: This 6-week introductory program (June 8 thru July 13) acquaints participants with the twists and turns, ups and downs of trail running and encourages runner to become more comfortable with off-road terrain. Group sessions will include methods to help avoid injuries, tips on how to stretch and recover from sore muscles, hydration, trail safety and runs from 2 – 4 miles on local trails.

Description: Sponsored by New Balance, this FREE program is perfect for high school cross country athletes gearing up for the fall season. It's a great opportunity to build a base and become familiar with the Essex County XC course. Join us for this non-competitive, relaxed program offering runners the chance to perfect skills, meet other local runners and learn about running related topics (i.e. nutrition, hydration, form, etc.). Lots of fun, lots of swag, lots of quality information and lots of good running!

Goal Race: Branch Brook Park Cherry Blossom 10K on April 9th
Program Fee: $135 excluding race fee
Description: Take your training to the next level! This 8-week program is geared towards runners and walkers who are comfortable with 3 miles, but are looking to take it up a notch. We'll progress gradually, preparing you to complete the 10k distance. Our goal race is the Cherry Blossom 10k on April 9th in Branch Brook Park.

Goal Race: Ashenfelter 8K Classic on Thanksgiving morning
Program Fee: $120 excluding race fee
Description: This 8-week program is designed for someone new to the 8k (4.97 miles) distance and/or looking for a little more intensity. Training will start at 2 miles and build up to the 5 mile distance.

Goal Race: Clinton Township Country 15K
Program Fee: $135 (does not include race entry registration fee)
Description: Train for a 15K whether it is your first or if you want to increase your speed at the 15K distance!

Description: The Half Marathon Training Program is a 12 week program specifically designed to prepare runners for their first endurance event and/or help seasoned runners meet a new performance goal.

Description: Perfect for the busy marathon trainee who is registered for a fall endurance event and is looking for support & guidance along the training journey. This 16-week support guide will include a sample training schedule for both beginner and intermediate levels, private Facebook page & weekly motivational e-mails, educational workshops, three supported long runs, a coupon booklet and more! This program targets those who are running a Fall marathon race sometime between the end of October / early November.
