Core strength is the foundation for all your movement - whether you are novice or experienced runner. Overall core strength allows important muscle groups to work together in a cohesive way. A strong core can boost your speed, efficiency on uphills, help you avoid injury on downhills, strengthen endurance and improvement lateral movement on trail runs.
Fleet Feet's quarterly four-week program, educates runners on the importance of strength and control of the glute, abdominal and hip muscles that constitute the core. Each class will begin with a discussion of target muscle groups and how those muscles relate directly to running. Participants will learn key exercises to engage the core that can be incorporated into their personal training and workout routines. Our program coach uses the newly introduced exercises for a great in-class workout as well. (Is there still going to be a work out during the video class?)
Busy summer schedule or trouble navigating the lazy days of summer? Our new summer format can help by having one class with 3 follow up instructional videos that you can do at your own pace and on your own time ... during vacation, little league travel games or just hanging out by the pool!
Just saying "structured class" isn't enough description as the video classes need to be structured as well.

It seems like some way to touch each week is missing: Anyone can download core videos from on-line. What's unique is connecting with you, Loren. Is there a way to add some degree of accountability? - even if it is self-directed accountability? Possibly create a written personal goal setting mechanism for the first class, along with an opportunity for participants to set up their own weekly written schedule after reviewing your sample schedule. Possibly give people the opportunity to share their goal accomplishments & hurdles weekly via closed FB or directly with the coach via direct communication? Or --- Coach Loren will be available via goggle hang-out or FB Live - at a designated time each week to check in and answer questions.
